Alchemist of Art

Evolving from street artist to a multi-disciplinary artist, her explorative approach has led her to develop a broad range of artwork. From immersive new media installations and hand-sewn wall tapestries, to sculptural bronze, paintings and a variety of fine art prints.

Citizen of the earth

In 2017, Faith XLVII relocated from Cape Town to LA, where she continued to expand her practice. She sees herself as “a citizen of the earth”, part of a wider community of ‘woke’ artists.

BLENDING THE ELEMENTS

Upon her visit to the Chateau de Bagnolet, in Cognac, one of the first things Faith XLVII sensed was the luxury of time that goes into crafting Hennessy Blends. In her eyes, the complex process of selecting eaux-de-vie, a process that relies on centuries of savoir-faire, offered a soothing antidote to our fast paced lives. The bridge between Hennessy’s approach of blending and her own creative process became self-evident.

A TRIBUTE TO NATURE

With nature as the central element, intricate details pay tribute to our interdependency via references to the moon, the rain, the clouds, allowing the growth of our grapevines, accentuated in precious gold leaf. A palette inspired by natural colors, earthy and sunset tones, while striking graphic lettering refers to the handmade chalk inscriptions on our barrels in Cognac.
