For centuries, Hennessy’s Tasting Committee blended the finest cognac from our eaux-de-vie inventory, crafting each year harmony from complexity. Our goal is to prepare for the next 200 years, crafting the next genrations of Mastery.

We invited in Cognac the masters of tomorrow—from a plasma physicist to a chef, a digital artist to a former astronaut. Hosting this unique assembly, Hennessy’s 8th Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde launched the discussion by asking simply, “Can we push the boundary of quality?”

CRAFTING THE FUTURE

The guests were invited for a 3-day retreat to discuss and dive into the major questions: How do we adapt to the changing environment? How will the definition of craftsmanship shift in the age of artificial intelligence?

And as we move forward ethically and sustainably, how do we create inclusive spaces? As this unusual anniversary party was over, change was still on everyone’s mind.

In 1817, James Hennessy created a unique blend for the future King George IV of England. From the encounter of these two visionaries, was born the first Hennessy “Very Superior Old Pale,” know today as Hennessy V.S.O.P.

The savoir-faire of the Maison Hennessy is fully expressed in this balanced cognac: the selection of eaux-de-vie, aging and assemblage. A cognac of remarkable consistency and vitality, Hennessy V.S.O.P conveys all of the savoir-faire of the Hennessy master blenders who have ensured the continued success of this harmonious assemblage for 200 years.
